Community String Orchestra
The orchestra made up of students and community members performing string orchestral literature at concerts held in the PAC. Students of all levels are welcomed to participate. Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings on campus.
MUP159 Community Orchestra. Auditions may be required. May be repeated for credit. Prerequisites: None.
The Community Choir is open to all singers of all levels of experience. It is meant to be an enjoyable opportunity to sing a variety of musical literature. The class meets on Tuesday evenings.

Community Concert Band
The Concert Band is "community" in nature and performs at both campus and off-campus events. Members include music students and teachers, professionals, and people who just love to play band music. The group performs marches, overtures, light classics, pop, and music from Broadway and the movies. Band rehearsals are Wednesday evenings on campus.
The CGCC Jazz Band is an eighteen-member "Big Band" jazz ensemble that performs at on-campus concerts, jazz and art festivals, community park concert series, and in the public schools. The group contains 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 5 trumpets, piano, guitar, bass and drums. The band performs a wide variety of music ranging from 40's "Big Band Swing" style all the way up to today's "Contemporary Jazz" styles and rehearses Monday evenings on campus.
A small-group instrumental ensemble, the Jazz Combo explores a variety of jazz styles for performances at campus and community events throughout the school year. The group rehearses on Mondays and Wednesdays during the semester.

Latin Percussion Ensemble
Director - Josh Gottry
This class is a Latin Percussion ensemble. No prior music or percussion experience required. Students will study and perform various Latin percussion styles using appropriate techniques and instruments in an ensemble setting. Performances will be scheduled throughout the semester.
MUP181 - Latin Percussion - rehearsals M and W mornings
This performing chamber ensemble is open to anyone with percussion experience at or above the high school level. The ensemble rehearses Monday evenings on campus and participates in the instrumental concerts on campus. This group also participates with other percussion ensembles in state wide events.
Music is selected to highlight all areas of concert percussion and ranges from standard college percussion ensemble literature to orchestral arrangements and contemporary and novelty percussion selections.
Wind and Percussion Ensemble
This class is a Wind Ensemble (Band) and includes woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. Information/Audition: Randy Wright This class meets Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and will perform with other ensembles on campus throughout the semester.
