The Aviation and Applied Technology Division at CGCC is home to the Aviation Program; Electric Utility Technology Program; and Justice and Criminal Studies, including the Law Enforcement Training Academy.
CGCC's Aviation Program is the only one in the East Valley and is designed to meet the aviation industry's need for well-prepared pilots and technicians in aircraft maintenance, electronics/avionics, and aircraft construction.
CGCC Aviation Program Registration
The Electric Utility Technology Program prepares students for jobs with investor-owned municipal and rural electric companies. Line workers climb poles or work on underground systems installing hardware, conductors and transformers.
Justice and Criminal Studies offers programs such as Correctional Studies, Forensic Science, Homeland Security and Justice Studies. The Law Enforcement Training Academy is an intense, highly accountable and challenging training program certified by the Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training (Az POST) Board. Upon completion of the academy and the Az POST comprehensive exam, students are eligible to be certified police officers.
