Next Scheduled Class
To be admitted to the LETA program, applicants must either be sponsored by an Arizona law enforcement agency that has completed a background, polygraph and medical exam on the applicant and will certify that the applicant meets the AZPOST pre-screening requirements or the applicant must successfully complete a background, polygraph and medical exam through CGCC. Pre-screening through CGCC takes 6-8 weeks to complete. Agency sponsored applicants must submit a completed AZPOST Form AA for admission.
LETA classes begin every January and July. Applications are accepted continuously until the class is filled to capacity. Any overflow of applications will be processed and applied to future classes. The sooner you submit your application, the sooner the background process can begin to ensure your position in the next class. Students can be no younger than 20 and two months when class begins as they must be 21 years of age at graduation.
