This role as a Tool Maker will be with Volt's Client, an industry leading Aerospace company in Mesa, Arizona. This role will make complete assembly layout and fabricate all types of tooling.
Makes comp
lete assembly layout and fabricates all types of tooling including fixtures, jigs,
special tools, bonding fixtures, templates, molds, electrical test equipment, and wire jig boards
which involve compound angles, complex contours, and exacting tolerances. Works from
engineering drawings, tool designs, manuals, sketches, blueprints, verbal or written instructions.
Analyzes engineering drawings, sketches, loft, and tool design information in order to develop
and plan sequence of operations required to machine, fabricate, and assemble tooling or patterns.
Repairs, reworks, or modifies jigs, fixtures, special tools, bonding fixtures, templates, molds,
electrical test equipment, wire jig boards, and other tooling; makes recommendations and plans
for changes in tooling.
Performs related duties which may include: plaster, weld, surface table layout and setup,
machine, wet lay up, prepreg lay up, optic wire assembly, RF connector assembly, wire
stripping/crimping/ pinning, and wire soldering and computer aided measurement (laser tracker)
work.
This is an estimated 12 month Contingent/Temporary position in Mesa, Arizona and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions, which is located in Scottsdale, AZ.
